How are clear aligners/ invisible aligners made?

Clear aligner is also called invisible aligners. First, patients' teeth model data are collected through oral scanner or silicone rubber, then 3D photo cured teeth model are made based on these data. With AI assistance, slightly corrected new invisible aligners are made by press or vacuum forming machine and cut into shapes, then wearing around two weeks by patients for teeth correction. Normally orthodontic treatment last for 18 months to two years. Different from traditional braces, the invisible aligner is virtually clear and removable. Now more and more people tend to choose clear/ invisible aligners than metal or ceramic braces because of easy cleaning the teeth and better appearance.

 

How are customized clear aligners/ invisible aligners made?

Before clear aligners/ invisible aligners are made, they are thermoforming plastic sheets. Place those thermoforming plastic sheets on the tooth mold, and use vacuum forming machines to vacuum and form the aligners.
