What is tip-forming?

CUUMed’s catheter tipping service is with high-precision. It is a secondary process that makes a tube has a tapered shape.

What is welding?

It is a secondary process that bonds catheter and catheter components together.

What options are CUUMED offered for catheter tipping/welding?

We can offer a variety of tipping/ welding technologies, including conical tip, closed-end tip, neckdown, radius tip, angled tip, lumen specific tips, flares and flanges, soft tip, etc.

How many material options for tipping/welding?

Processing materials are for example, polypropylene(PP), polyurethane(PU), polycarbonate(PC), Nylon/PEBAX, and other thermoplastics materials.

What are dimension size and lumen of tipping/welding we can provide?

The tipping size can be provided within 3-24Fr, of course, other customized sizes are welcomed.

Catheter tipping/welding are allowing dimensional accuracy to be controlled to ±0.03mm or less.

Also, the tipping can be applied on single or multi-lumen.

What medical devices are tipping/welding can apply to?

PICC, CVC, Dilator, and Foley/Ureteral Stent, etc.
